EAL-friendly — Great for building English skills

Activities marked with the globe build core English: vocabulary, reading, inference, grammar and sentence building. They are useful for everyone, and especially helpful if English is an additional language.

What the 🌍 marker means

Great for building English skills. These activities are open to every student — the marker is only a way of finding them quickly. Nothing is easier or harder because of it, and your scoring, feedback and progress work exactly the same.

You can also switch on the EAL Support toggle on the Paper 1, Paper 2 and Functional Skills pathways to filter those lists down to marked activities.
