- Closed book: you do not take set texts into the Literature exams.
- Paper 1 Language uses a 19th-century fiction extract; Paper 2 uses 20th- and 21st-century non-fiction.
- Spoken Language endorsement: A presentation with questions, reported separately as Pass, Merit or Distinction.
